Is Meccha Chameleon single-player?
No. It's an online multiplayer hide-and-seek game — hiders vs seekers. There's no offline solo campaign; you need a Steam account and an internet connection to play.
Does it have crossplay?
No — it's currently a Steam PC game (Windows only), so there are no console or mobile versions to cross-play with. Steam Deck users run the same Steam build.
How many players can join?
The developer recommends 2–10 players. A single lobby can scale higher (up to 24 on a strong host), but 13 or more depends heavily on the host's connection and is harder to manage.
What modes are there?
Three: Normal (classic hide-and-seek), Increasing Oni (tagged hiders become seekers), and Double Mode (everyone hides first, then everyone becomes a seeker in a find-the-most race).
What languages are supported?
13 languages, including English, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Arabic, Portuguese-Brazil, Russian, and Turkish.
Does it support controllers?
Yes — full controller support and no fast reactions required, so it's couch- and Steam Deck-friendly. Mouse-and-keyboard also works.
Will my older PC run it?
Minimum spec is light: Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i5, and any DirectX 11/12 GPU. See the System Requirements page.
